ABOUT

ARTIST STATEMENT

My artwork is abstract, layered and process oriented; allowing shape, color, and line to become the subject. I derive my ideas from natural elements, urban settings, changing seasonal colors and everyday observations.

Reacting to the controlled and the unexpected marks and brushstrokes that unfold, my observations and emotions connect. Working intuitively and formally, I search to find the meaning in my work. With time the art begins to speak clearly, and the elements find their place. For me art is an evolving experience with many possibilities, surprises, and directions, a journey that mimics life.
